Fortissimo snaps up ‘Jianyu’
Company acquires all rights to martial arts epic
Hong Kong and Dutch-based sales, finance and production entity Fortissimo Films has acquired all rights outside China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South East Asia to $12 million martial arts epic “Jianyu jianghu,” which John Woo and Terence Chang are producing.
Pic, starring Michelle Yeoh, Jung Woo-sung, Kelly Lin and Barbie Hsu, will be directed by Su Chao-pin and tells the story of a female assassin who falls in love with the son of a man killed by her gang.
